That's not a marketing angle. It is why I built the firm this way. When your income is lumpy, when you're trying to give generously without leaving tax benefits on the table, or when a property needs a new roof the same year you owe estimated taxes, those aren't abstract planning problems to me.
After more than ten years in this work, including hands-on tax preparation experience, I've come to think the difference between a good financial year and a stressful one is rarely a matter of knowledge. It's a matter of systems: whether the money is already where it needs to be when the decision has to be made.
As a solo firm, you work with me. Not an associate, not a service team. That limits how many families I can take on, and it's a tradeoff I've made deliberately.
Credentials
Why this niche
I'm not planning for a client profile. I'm planning for my own.
I charitably donate, own a business, and own real estate myself. I plan for the same things my clients face. I also have tax preparation experience.
Personal
Most of my time outside the office goes to my family. The rest gets split between the boat in the summer, the snowmobile in the winter, and a home project that is somehow never quite finished.
